Amid the rise in cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. and Michigan, we have certain protocols and procedures put in place during this unprecedented heath crisis. March 23, 2020 —Angela Hospice Home Care Visit Policy— EFFECTIVE MARCH 24, 2020 Dear Angela Hospice Patients and Family Members, As the number of confirmed cases of Coronovirus, COVID-19, continue to rise in Michigan and across the nation, Angela Hospice has had to make very difficult decisions regarding best practices and protocols during this unprecedented health crisis. Because Angela Hospice cares for seriously ill and vulnerable patients throughout metro Detroit and southeast Michigan, we never want to risk exposing you, your families, your hospice care team, or others in our community to a situation where everyone's health could be compromised or endangered. Based on Governor Whitmer's Stay Home, Stay Safe Executive Order and the guidelines and directives we have received from federal and state government agencies, we have had to make an additional revision to our policy for home visits. To protect the health and safety of our patients, clients, staff, and caregivers, Angela Hospice has had to make the difficult decision to postpone all grief support group meetings for the time being. For those in need of grief counseling, please call our bereavement office at 734.779.6690 to schedule a one-on-one or telephone session, based on availability. Thank you for your understanding, and we encourage you to review the following recommendations provided by the CDC to keep yourself and your loved ones healthy. Laughter Lifts You Up is CANCELED

Dear Friends and Supporters, It is with heavy hearts that we announce we must cancel our Laughter Lifts You Up women’s event that was scheduled to take place tomorrow, March 12, at Laurel Manor. As you know, Angela Hospice provides care to seriously ill and vulnerable patients. Our leadership and staff have continued to closely monitor the situation regarding COVID-19 following updates and recommendations from the CDC, the WHO, as well as state and local governments. We never want to risk exposing people in our community to a situation where they could be compromised or endangered.  With the growing number of large-event cancellations, and concern for public health, we believe it is in the best interest of all involved not to move forward with the event. While we remain responsible for much of the cost of the event, we feel our larger responsibility is to the greater safety and wellbeing of our constituents and the good people who support the important work done through Angela
