Laughter Lifts You Up is CANCELED
Dear Friends and Supporters,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce we must cancel our Laughter Lifts You Up women’s event that was scheduled to take place tomorrow, March 12, at Laurel Manor.
As you know, Angela Hospice provides care to seriously ill and vulnerable patients. Our leadership and staff have continued to closely monitor the situation regarding COVID-19 following updates and recommendations from the CDC, the WHO, as well as state and local governments. We never want to risk exposing people in our community to a situation where they could be compromised or endangered. With the growing number of large-event cancellations, and concern for public health, we believe it is in the best interest of all involved not to move forward with the event.
While we remain responsible for much of the cost of the event, we feel our larger responsibility is to the greater safety and wellbeing of our constituents and the good people who support the important work done through Angela Hospice. To be sure, we will be reaching out to registrants beginning next week with information on how to request a refund. We ask for your patience as we manage this process for our 800+ registrants, vendors and contracted partners.
Thank you for your understanding as we carefully considered all options in this unprecedented public health challenge. A special thank you to Laurel Manor and our volunteers for their tireless efforts on behalf of this project.
