Care Center Visitor Policy Update

CARE CENTER VISITOR POLICY for WINGS A & B
Effective Wed., June 10, 2020:

·         Patients will be limited to two visitors per 24 hour period.  Limit to one visitor in patient room after 9 p.m.

·         Visitor entrance/screening station will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m.,
7 days a week. **

·         Two patient visitors, in total, will be allowed entry upon patient passing --24 hours a day. 

·         After hours, entry is only allowed at time of patient’s death. The nurse on duty will allow entry and complete the visitor screening.

·         Exiting the building will be considered end of visit time for that 24 hour period.  As long as visitor does not leave the building during that 24 hour period they may stay 24 hours in patient room (must complete check in/screening daily).  Only one overnight visitor allowed.

·         Visitors are required to stay in patient room, unless excused for personal care to patient.  At that time, visitor can sit in chapel or courtyard until return to room.  Please practice social distancing if there are other people in the chapel or the courtyard.

**All visitors must sign in at the concierge desk upon arrival and complete the COVID-19 screening process—visitor may be denied access or asked to leave based on screening process or if exhibiting cold/flu like symptoms.

Name: Ingrid Lasley How long have you been a volunteer? I started volunteering about 2 ½ years ago. What areas do you work in/what sort of tasks do you do as a volunteer? I cover the receptionist desk for lunch hours, which includes telephone calls. I have covered Tree of Life shifts for the past 2 years and plan to volunteer again this season. I also have been involved in numerous mailings and last year’s Walk of Remembrance. What made you decide to become a volunteer? Debbie Bennett was called to be a steadfast wife to husband Thomas and a devoted mother to their  children, Christopher, Kelly, and Robin. She has relied on God to get through the hard times her family has faced, and has been grateful that Angela Hospice was there too, when she really needed support. Robin & Chris In 1989, at the age of 12, Christopher, her oldest child, was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease called Friedreich's Ataxia (FA). Chris was a smart and funny music-lover, and accomplished artist who was beloved by his family and many friends. By his junior year in high school, he began to use a wheelchair.
